Ellen,

Misunderstood, Joyful, Generous, Caring.

Second child of Betty and Elliot.

Likes antiques, pasta arrabbiata, and Orange is the New Black.

Dialogue

Ellen walked into her mother's hospital room and sat down nervously. She looked at her feet. What she was about to say could slow her mother down and effect her rehab process.

"Mom," Ellen said, still looking down.

"What's going on honey you don't look well." Her mother said, while looking at her concerningly.

"Uh...I...I have something to tell you." Ellen said, somehow getting her words out.

"Well honey, go ahead, what is it? Tell me, you can tell me anything. You know that." Betty said promisingly.

"B... he...he...he uh..." Ellen tried to explain drowning in her own fear.

"B? Is he okay? What happened to him? He's okay right? Please tell me he's okay!" Her mother yelled in fear.

"No no it's not that, he's okay." Ellen tried to explain to calm her mother down.

"Well then what is it? B... what? Are you okay, what happened?"

Her mother said trying to figure out this confusing situation.

"B... he...he touched me." Ellen finally is able to spit out.

"Ellen, honey, I'm... I'm so sorry I have no idea what to say honey. That isn't okay. I really have no idea what to say."

Ellen's mom looked around the room in anguish.

"Mom...it isn't your fault I'll be okay but you need to focus on your rehab and getting back to you. I will figure it out, maybe go live with dad or something."Ellen says trying to comfort her mother.

"I need some time to think about how I'm going to handle this honey, I love you. You're a strong girl hun."Betty lays back down and closes her eyes, putting her hands over them. She shakes her head and says, "How did this happen, how did this happen."
